Briar Circle

Come here to take a break from studying or chill with your friends! All of the red cobblestone paths throughout campus lead to Briar Circle, which features the main office, Panera, and Red Mango. Need help making it through a night of intense studying? Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks are located in Briar Circle, too!

Located on the second floor, with a large viewing window to observe the riders below practicing in the jumping arena. The fridge and cupboards are loaded with snacks and drinks. There are several couches surrounding a small flatscreen with a VCR.

Stables

The stables have air conditioning (and ceiling fans!) for the summer and heating for the winter, as well as one wash stall per five stalls and several tack rooms. XU is known for its gorgeous stable! Each horse gets a large, comfy box stall.

XU invested in 42 acres of land for recreational riding, feel free to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and great cantering trails. Always be careful and take your cell phone with you. It is preferred that you do not ride alone on the trails.

Downtown


A very cute downtown, with cobblestone crosswalks and an all around friendly atmosphere. There is pretty much everything a downtown would have, a movie theatre, park, restaurant, small clothing stores, and roller rinks. It would be a good idea to get a job here for extra cash.

Virginia Beach

The beach is only a quick 30 minute drive away from XU, so take advantage of the sandy beaches being so close! In the fall when the beaches are closing, you may get the chance to to take your horse down to the beach!

The amusement park is an hour and a half away, so make sure to carefully plan this trip! A great idea for a place to go on a date.
