Xanthis University was opened after the civil war ended in 1865, and was flooded with boys returning home from the battlefields. It was originally a top notch all boys equestrian university, but during the 1900's it expanded into letting girls apply.
It is best known for excellent science programs and the equestrian team, which has a Varsity and Junior Varsity team for Dressage and Jumping/Hunter.
The campus itself is about 39 acres, with an additional 46 for its Winding Oak Stables a couple miles away.
